Finally, Tim's All-Time Favorite!
I know all of you food connoisseurs have been eagerly awaiting my absolute favorite meal. Well today is your lucky day! If I could choose on place to eat my final meal on earth, it would be at The Common Man Restaurant in Lincoln, New Hampshire. This cozy, house-like restaurant is lit by candle and fire only. The log cabin like spot provides the ideal setting for any type of luxurious nights out. The roaring fire in the bar area is the spot to sit after a long, tiresome day of skiing while enjoying the restaurants complimentary cheese and crackers. I start my order off with the French Onion Soup. Underneath the thick layer of melted cheese, lies a layer of french bread, truly a one of a kind. I proceed to order the Filet Mignon (medium rare) with the garlic mashed potatoes and my all time favorite butternut squash. Top it off with a freshly cut piece of bread and if there is room, there is a must try dessert. Usually my family will order two of these exquisite masterpieces for the five of us. They call it The White Brownie Sunday. Oh La-la. I have never come across a meal that even matches Tim's All-Time Favorite Meal, can you beat it?

"The best STEAK anywhere!"
Even though this is my blog, I do not want to limit the review to solely my opinions about great foods. This week I asked classmate, Jeff Schimmel, for his favorite restaurant and favorite dish at that restaurant. His answer, Morton's Steakhouse in downtown Boston. This top quality place is reserved for only the most important occasions, states Jeff. Morton's is known for their fresh selections of steak. Of course since Jeff is such a large human being, his dish is the Porterhouse Steak with garlic mashed potatoes and a side salad. Even though this dish may take a chunk out of the wallet, Jeff thinks it is completely worth it. The rare cut of cow that consistes of both New York Strip Steak and tenderloin is the heavy hitter in any steak house. However, Jeff thinks Mortons takes home the prize for #1. I have also dined their and would agree that the place is absolutely amazing. So when that specail occasion runs around, Mortons is the place to go! http://www.mortons.com/menu.php

Fun in the Sun
Over this four day weekend my family and I had some fun in the sun. We ventured down to Marco Island, Florida where we enjoyed many exqusit days on the beach and also in various restaurants. My favorite mean was a simple lunch on the ocean at CJ's By the Bay (http://www.cjsonthebay.com/restaurants.php?rid=4). Besides the glorious view of the harbor, the food was quite good as everyone in my family greatly enjoyed their news. When ordering, I was split between the Tropical Cobb Salad and the Philly Cheesesteak. Since we were in a tropical enviroment, I went with the Cobb Salad with Parmesan Peppercorn dressing, my absolute favorite!
The salad arrivied a beautiful array of healthy greens which seemed as fresh as my aunts backyard garden. Atop the greens were five shrimp, freshly shaved parmesan cheese, mango, tomato, avacado, boiled eggs and cucumber. The combo of shrimp, mango and avacado was what really made this dish special to me. If you are ever travelling in the Naples, Florida area I highly reccommend this lunch spot!

Cheesecake Factory Shrimp Scampi
This weekend I endulged myslef at the Cheesecake Factorty in Chestnut Hill, MA. I ordered the Shrimp Scampi at an outragoeus price of 22.95. Even though the shrimp blended with the stemay garlic collage of herbs was outstanding, the shrimp itself was a tad over-cooked. Overall I give it a 4.5 out of 5 and would reccomend it to any seafood conoisseur.
